Spring Classes at the Studio
Jordan’s loft studio, located in the heart of Manotick, provides a brilliant space for exploring Jordan’s work. It also serves as a meeting place, retreat, and workshop space.
Throughout the year, Jordan offers seasonally inspired courses and workshops in craft, art, and writing. The studio is meant to be a place of inspiration and rejuvenation for all. It’s also a great place to find a Jordan Danger original to take home with you.

Solo Exhibition Gallery Opening
Join Jordan Danger for the opening night vernissage, and see firsthand a selection of ceramic and painted works created through conversations with AI about emotions, imagination, and the role of gender as a cultural modifier. Light refreshments will be served and admission is free.
The exhibit will also run from March 28 - May 28, 2024.

Multi-Week Courses, Spring 2024
Watercolour Level One: March 18-on

This four week course will introduce you to the colourful world of watercolours! Learn some fun and basic folkart inspired flora, fauna, and layering techniques. By the end of this course you’ll be able to paint greeting cards and small frame-worthy paintings.

FOR: Ages 16-up
PRICE: $245 per student
Includes all materials you’ll need for the duration of this course. Students may opt to purchase their own watercolour pad in addition; details for what to purchase will be sent to you.
Develop a Journalling Practice: All April

Journalling is one of the best ways to engage in mindfulness and find your inner voice, your path, and your resilience. The trickiest part is forming a habit, and this course will help you do that. Join us for this 4-week course learning how to use journalling to destress, as well as to express emotions, desires, and goals. Work through complex issues and create new resilience. You’ll have support and guidance through the entire process. Get comfortable using exercises, free-form writing, and sketching to unlock your inner world.

Create Your Grimoire / Spellbook: Apr 25-on

Some call it a grimoire, some call it a spellbook, but our books of wisdom are so much more. In this 6 week course, Jordan will show you how to write down tidbits of wisdom you’ve gathered through your lifetime: home remedies, wellness routines, recipes, self-care strategies, and more. Then we will learn some beautiful art techniques to decorate each page. This is the start of a beautiful keepsake you may hold onto or one day share with the next generation.

DATES: 6 weeks starting Thursday April 25th, 6:30-8:30pm (ends May 30th)
FOR: Ages 18-up
PRICE: $249 per student. Includes a new journal to use as your book—but students may keep it for later and use one they already enjoy. Also includes access to all necessary art supplies for the duration of the course.
What to Expect at Danger Creative Studio:
Classes are small.
We only allow 4-6 students per class. This gives you maximum teaching attention.
We support queer and trans people.
Jordan spent a decade advocating for LGBTTQIA+ rights, and encourages all people to join us.
Masks are often mandatory.
For the protection of vulnerable students, masks are still required for many of our workshops until further notice. A small price to pay so we can include our neighbours in the fun. We’ll send you details the week of your course.
There are stairs.
The loft studio is upstairs. If you are disabled and wish to participate, rest assured we will have first-floor workshops in the spring and summer.
We have studio dogs.
We have 2 small studio dogs who will probably participate. If you have a fear or severe allergies please let us know.
There is art to buy.
You are welcome to purchase any of Jordan’s art that is on display in the studio!
Introducing: Private pARTy Sessions at the Studio!
Book your private pARTy with us! Our pARTies can include up to 6 participants of all ages. Your pARTy will take place in our lovely working artist's studio in Manotick. A two-hour session of creating art or crafts with your favourite people! Soda, bottled water, and herbal tea are provided. Guests are welcome to bring snacks that suit their dietary needs.
OPTIONAL: You can add on a s'mores and campfire option for an additional hour after the crafting session! Sit in our picturesque backyard under towering basswood trees around a campfire pit, and enjoy roasting some marshmallows and eating melty s'mores!

Craft Your Own Tea Blend - February 27

Spend an evening learning how to use common kitchen herbs and spices to create wonderful tea blends with natural wellness capabilities. A great workshop for the kitchen witch in all of us, this is a different way to think about crafting! Leave with your own personalized tea blend.
We recommend that students wear a mask during all workshop during peak illness season, but masks are not mandatory for this workshop due to the nature of the workshop (tasting, smelling ingredients, etc). -

Personal Pet Portraits - March 7th

Spend an evening with artist Jordan Danger, learning how to draw and watercolour paint your own pet portrait! This fun workshop teaches you a folkart-esque technique to capture your dog or cat in a creative and colourful fashion. No artistic ‘talent’ or experience required!

PRICE: $75 per student. All materials provided for your evening. You’ll leave with a 4x6” pet portrait that you can frame! Great for Valentines!
Mushroom Mobile - SOLD OUT

Create this mobile or wall hanging of woodland mushrooms using airdry clay and found wood. A great course for learning to manipulate air dry clay and emulate natural forms. This craft is a crowd pleaser and easy enough for all experience levels.
